March 6th, 2005

We went on a day trip today to Paris which was great fun. The weather is still Canada-like here but we were troopers and braved the cold. We explored the Jewish district and saw lots great bakeries and shops there. I had a coffee and a crepe (smoke and a pancake?, bong and a blitz?, flapjack and a cigarette?) at a nice cafe in the Jewish district. We proceeded to the Bastille district which had nice restaurants and cafes. The Bastille was the place where people used to get executed by guillotine...it was a SLICE!...boy was it a SHARP area!...we lost our HEADS there! That's enough bad jokes for this blog I think. We went to an outdoor market in this area which had amazing fresh food. After the Bastille we marched forth to Les Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe were there was good shopping and the Peugeot and Renault museums which were rad. We went to a very famous and exclusive French restaurant called Chez McDonald's which was McDelicious (another bad joke). A brisk walk up the Arc de Triomphe followed and we took some great pictures from there. We later discovered the Paris 2012 Olympic Canidate headquarters. It was a really cool place with all things french and more! That's pretty much it. Martin out!
